NIGERIAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT VANGUARD (NLGV): VOICE OF GRASSROOTS GOVERNANCE

 THE NIGERIAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT VANGUARD (NLGV) is the Voice of Grassroots Governance in the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory.  This specialised Publication covering our Local Governments is the product of the Patriotic decision of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in fighting for good governance across the Nigerian federation and rescuing our local councils from the dictatorship and cruelty of State Governments across Nigeria who before Now refuse to conduct Local Government elections by imposition of caretaker Council chairmen to the consternation of many Nigerians.

At NLGV, we thank our President for rising beyond petty political considerations and sentiments in suing the 36 states and FCT to the Supreme Court, which gave an unanimous judgement on the 11th of July 2024 by restoring autonomy, democratic governance, and life back to our local councils. Today, across the States, local council elections are being conducted recently. Mr President himself a former Governor of Lagos State created by the States assembly 37 LCDA'S a novel feat aimed at bring governance at the grassroots level for easier reach and Penetration to the people, some years ago i heard a remarkable revelation on radio "That every Nigerian lives in a Local Government whether President, Governors, Ministers and Legislators everybody lives in a Local Government' truly the collapse of the Local Government System across the Nigerian Federation is a major cause of high level of insecurity,unemployment,rural-urban migration and Restiveness in the Country..

It is a clarion call to Nigerians to see Local Governments as a critical pillar of our national development rather than too much emphasis on Fedral and State Governments in our desire for rapid development.

At NLGV we are positioned as a voice for the Governance at Grassroots level across the 36 states and FCT covering activities in Local Councils and promoting Good Governance at the third tier of Government.....

Nigerians Applaud Burn Rate Of Dangote Refinery Fuel - Politics -

  Damilola Aina and Dare Olawin Nigerians on Wednesday praised the quality of refined petroleum products sourced from the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and sold at MRS Oil Plc filling stations across the country. They particularly praised the impressive burn rate of its fuel, which lasts longer compared to other products imported into the country and sold by other firms. Before now, complaints from drivers have centred around the inability of a full tank to last for a week of commuting to and from the office, with discussions varying based on the car’s age. Some argue that N10,000 worth of fuel only covers the journey from home to the office. Motorists, who expressed satisfaction with receiving value for their money, also criticized the NNPCL for deceiving Nigerians and importing substandard fuel into the country.
