Chelsea Slap £100m Price Tag On Nicolas Jackson Amid Serie A Interest - Sports

Chelsea have slapped a huge £100 million price tag on Nicolas Jackson amid interest from AC Milan, per the Daily Mail.

The 24-year-old has fallen down the pecking order after the signings of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro earlier this summer.

Jackson has also seen a significant dip in form since the turn of the year, with only four goals to his name over that period.

Milan are in the market for a new striker after Tammy Abraham returned to Roma at the end of his loan and has since joined Turkish side Besiktas. Luka Jovic has also left the Serie A outfit following the expiration of his contract.

The Italian giants are considering making an approach for Jackson after receiving an indication from intermediaries that the player might be interested in a transfer.

However, Chelsea have made it clear they are in no rush to sell the Senegal international as they have set a huge £100m valuation.

The Blues are also in a strong position as he is contracted to Stamford Bridge until 2033, having penned an extension last year.

Jackson arrived at the West London club two years ago for £32m from Villarreal.

He has shown flashes of brilliance but has struggled to perform on a consistent basis.

In 81 appearances across all competitions, Jackson has scored 30 goals and provided 12 assists.

These are decent numbers but lack of discipline has been a big issue with him, with the centre-forward having received two red cards in his last five appearances for Chelsea.
