WHERE IS THE INFRASTRUCTURE CORPORATION OF NIGERIA (INFRACO)

 

We live in an interesting country called Nigeria where we are battling with a perennial memory a case in review is the Infrastructure Corporation of Nigeria(Infracorp) A company floated by the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority(NSIA) with seed capital to $1b to mobilize and attract investments to cover Nigeria's huge infrastructure gaps estimated at $3trn, it was launched by former President Muhammadu Buhari with Former CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele announcing this new firm which change the landscape of the country by attracting funding to addressing Nigeria’s huge infrastructural deficit..Furthermore, the CBN Governor announced Mr. Lazarus Angbazo of General Electric as the new CEO, since the announcement not much has been heard from Infracorp in the overwhelming need for road infrastructure projects like Lagos-Abeokuta highway begging for massive investments, since the the Tinubu administration came on board 7 months ago nothing has been heard from the Infracorp, when we are having a serious crisis from Energy to transportation deficit staring us in the face, when are we going to take key measures in getting this new special purpose vehicle to work for the collective development of our infrastructure in the country.

The promoters of infracorp should take measures to activate the form by properly constituting a management for the firm so it can start on a sound footing which can enable it to attract and fund critical projects that can create jobs across sectors of need in the overall interest of the country

They particularly praised the impressive burn rate of its fuel, which lasts longer compared to other products imported into the country and sold by other firms. Before now, complaints from drivers have centred around the inability of a full tank to last for a week of commuting to and from the office, with discussions varying based on the car’s age.
