Since our democratic journey began in 1999 cumulatively 24 years still counting, we have not been fortunate as a nation in having dedicated and committed public servants man our various public sector organisations at all levels of governance...

 The case of the Federal capital territory Abuja our federal capital and melting point of Nigerians across the entire federation remains a pathetic sore on my individual heart,as a former resident of the nation’s capital I have watched with dismay the obvious “nothernisation” of Abuja,the proposed center of Unity for a long time where Only a section of the country Northern Nigeria has produced FCT Ministers since creation in 1976 by former military head of State General Murtala Muhammed, also the rapid maladministration and obvious degeneration of the capital city since the departure of Former Minister and immediate past E Executive Governor of Kaduna State Mallam Nasir El-rufai, now 16 years after until the jinx breaker President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who appointed for the first time in 47 years a Southerner and hardworking,dedicated,results oriented achiever in the immediate past Governor of Rivers State Chief Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike as FCT Minister to be assisted by Dr Maryam Bangudu as Minister of State,it is indeed cheering news for lovers of the Nation’s capital,this disposition is not about Ethnic or primordial sentiments is about competence,hardwork,commitment and passionate drive to serve our people which Former Governor Wike displayed as immediate past chief executive of Rivers State..

 In his inaugural press briefing as FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike lamented the distortion of Abuja’s Masterplan, huge revenue leakages, land racketeering and corruption, the litany of abandoned projects that dot the entire landscape of the federal capital of Nigeria, obvious neglect of the developmental aspirations of Abuja...

 The FCT minister began work immediately with the flagging off of several road projects in the capital warning the permanent secretary and other officials of the FCTA not to inflate and variate the costs of projects, he has also secured the approval of President Tinubu to remove the FCTA from the Treasury single account (TSA) also the creation of FCT Civil service commission to cater for career progression aspirations of FCTA workforce, also Barrister Wike has also concluded the Funding plan of N72B with contractors Salini construction firm for completion of  Abuja Cultural and Millennium center abandoned for over 22 years, he has completed funding programs for the abandoned Abuja City Mass Rail Project plus new Abuja International Airport Runway in conjunction with the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development.

 The new Minister announced savings of N110B in fraudulent land deals perpetrated by AGIS and other public officials in the FCTA also a new legal framework for the entire FCT encompassing FCTA and Federal Capital Development authority where the FCT Minister is the statutory chairman of the FCDA Board..  

 These giant strides in less than 100 days as FCT minister are quite remarkable and outstanding, we are appealing to our minister Nyesom Wike to increase the pace of Private sector participation in the Federal capital by revisiting the Land Swap projects, Capital City Gate project, Malaysian gardens in Saraji District, completion of abandoned Area 10 Shopping mall.
